Ticker Tape is investing in Kraken for the second time. We first invested because Kraken had a lot of market share in cryptocurrency trading outside the United States, and because it had a secure platform. Kraken has never been hacked, and no one has ever stolen cryptocurrency from it, unlike Coinbase and most of the other platforms.
We also used the app ourselves, and it worked very well. Market share, security and a product that works gave us confidence the company has a bright future and can be an industry leader. We’ll likely do a third round if we can put one together before Kraken goes public.
